About the event
The Manson community will proudly honor Purple Heart recipients on Wednesday, August 7, with a noon ceremony at Tapped Out Sports Bar & Pool Hall. This marks Manson’s first Purple Heart Day since being officially designated a Purple Heart Community on April 20, 2026.
The event will begin at 12:00 PM and will feature the American Legion Post 108 presenting the colors, patriotic music, recognition of Purple Heart recipients, and brief remarks from community partners. Tapped Out owner Todd Link, a veteran and strong supporter of local Legion efforts, will offer a 30% discount to veterans and their families during the event.
Earlier this month, the American Legion installed the first of six Purple Heart Community signs in Manson, one of them proudly placed at Tapped Out Sports Bar, symbolizing the town’s commitment to honoring those wounded in combat.
